Hopewell’s Teacher of the Year

I am so excited to announce Mr. Gee-Cordova as our Teacher of the Year. This honor is extra special as the recipient is chosen by their peers. Mr. Gee-Cordova has grown our choir department significantly since I came to Hopewell three years ago. So much so, that we were able to hire another teacher….the great Ms. Hunsicker! His positive attitude and dedication to his students has a lot to do with the increase in numbers. Also, his genuine passion for teaching kids in a fun, exciting, and challenging environment makes him an exemplary educator. For the last three years, Mr. Gee-Cordova has produced the Hopewell Musical. I hope you were able to see ‘OZ’ this year…it was fabulous. Every time I walk into his room, the students are singing, smiling, and engaged…as is Mr. Gee-Cordova. Not only does he teach choir, but he also encourages students to make good choices, be kind, and complete random acts of kindness….just because. Congratulations Mr. Gee-Cordova! This honor is well earned!
